Faculty Mark Hemphill-Haley Geology Along with HSU Environmental Systems - Geology graduate student, Paul Sundberg, participated in 10 day post-earthquake reconnaissance of the September 4, 2010, M 7.1 Darfield earthquake near Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand. Worked with members of New Zealand GNS Science, Canterbury University and Penn State University to describe and document surface rupture and strong motion evidence produced during the earthquake.
